The Story
How it started
Wrenn & Ian are a dynamic duo in the local music scene. The two young musicians had been playing lots of shows together in the Boulder/Denver area and had an opportunity to perform at BIFF. They needed a track to send in that showcased their music and came to us for our record turnaround time.

Chords and Parts
For a piece like this, we try to provide information about the form of the song, the chords, and any specific musical moments while still leaving some room for the rhythm section. The horn arrangement was played as written by some of our top players.
We agreed that in order for the track to be the best it could be, it should include a full rhythm section and horns. We got started on a chord chart and written parts for the instrumentalists.

Within one week we arranged, recorded, mixed, and mastered the track to be submitted in time for BIFF.

We worked together on this track! Wrenn contributed acoustic guitar and vocals, and Ian contributed synth bass and keys.
The Outcome
The final product is an exciting piece of music with tons of energy and showcasing Wrenn's full voice.
Wrenn and Ian were accepted to play at the Boulder International Film Festival and have gone on to perform for a second time.
